Spend some quality time with your child and make a special Mother's Day Pendant!

This 1-1.5 hour workshop is aimed at kids 5+ and I have designed this workshop to allow younger kids to participate. Your pendant workshop will not involve any soldering but will involve hammering.

**As kids can differ widely in their ability to hear safety instructions, it's difficult to pinpoint a specific age cutoff, so please use your knowledge of your child's abilities to determine if it will be safe for them to attend. **

Both myself and my 11 year old son will be on hand to guide you through the steps.  Kids can help their mom transform a 20mm x 20mm sheet of silver into a square or circle pendant. Activities can include:
  • with mom's help, kids can re-shape their square sheet of silver into a circle, a rectangle or other shape
  • kids can create a hammered texture on their pendant
  • kids can stamp a special word onto their pendant, such as 'mom' or mom's name, etc
  • Pendants will then receive a quick polish whilst we have a quick break and a snack  (gf and nut free rocky road) and drink (water or juice)
  • mom's can drill a hole or I will be on hand to drill a hole into your pendant to create room for a jump ring that you can then use to add your pendant to a 20 inch necklace (if you wish a different size, please let me know 2 weeks before the workshop so I can have your necklace ready to go)
Silver and tool use is included in the price, and your pendant and necklace will go with you ready to wear at the end of the class!

This workshop typically lasts around 1.5 hours in total and is aimed at Mom with one child 5+ but all are welcome. This is a very hands-on class and I ask that mom's have a think about safety as you know your child best. If you normally wear glasses for reading, we recommend you bring these.
