Stacking Rings at the Red Brick Cafe - New Time! Evening Workshop!
Unearthed has been invited to Blythe Bridge!
Whether you are looking for a fun experience with your friends, or just an opportunity for you to try something new, this course will give you a hands on chance to give silversmithing a try in a relaxed, small class environment.....
Enjoy a creative few hours at The Red Brick Cafe in Blythe Bridge and make your very own set of stacking rings! Lynn will be on hand to closely guide you and the other participants through each step, ensuring you make your rings yourself.
Make your own set of up to 3 sterling silver stacking rings to take home with you. You can choose to make any combination of:
-a chunky, textured ring,
-a ring will a melted pebble,
-a beaded ring or
-a sparkly wire ring.
The steps include sizing your finger, measuring the amount of silver needed, filing the metal, shaping the ring, using a blowtorch, adding texture, attaching a pebble jewel, and many other skills. Silver and tool use is included in the price, and your rings will go with you ready to wear at the end of the class!
This workshop typically lasts around 3 - 3 1/2 hours in total and is aimed at complete beginners, but all are welcome. This is a very hands-on class. If you normally wear glasses for reading, we recommend you bring these. Please wear old clothes that are not loose and closed-toed shoes. Long hair must also be tied back. We currently have no strict age limit on classes but please email us before booking a space for anyone under the age of 16 just to confirm this with us.
