Enjoy a creative few hours at my home in Lightwood with views overlooking Cocknage and Florence Park, and make your very own set of stacking rings!
I will be on hand to closely guide you and the other participants through each step, ensuring you make your rings yourself.
You can choose to make your own set of either 2 or 3 sterling silver stacking rings to take home with you. You can choose to make any combination of:
-a chunky, textured ring,
-a dainty textured ring
-a patterned ring
-a ring will a melted silver pebble or cluster of pebbles,
-a beaded ring.
The steps include sizing your finger, measuring the amount of silver needed, filing the metal, shaping the ring, using a blowtorch, adding texture, attaching a pebble jewel, and many other skills. Silver and tool use is included in the price, and your rings will go with you ready to wear at the end of the class!
This workshop typically lasts around 3 - 3 1/2 hours in total and is aimed at complete beginners, but all are welcome. This is a very hands-on class and we go through not just what to do, but also why you do certain steps and how to make something of quality.
If you normally wear glasses for reading, we recommend you bring these. Please wear old clothes that are not loose and closed-toed shoes. Long hair must also be tied back. We currently have no strict age limit on classes but please email us before booking a space for anyone under the age of 16 just to confirm this with us.
